Biography

Noah M. Kenney is CEO and Principal Consultant at Digital 520, a global technology and AI consultancy specializing in enterprise transformation, intelligent systems, data and automation, cybersecurity, privacy, and responsible AI governance. He has advised over 120 organizations across the private, public, and nonprofit sectors, including Fortune 500 companies and agencies within the U.S. Federal Government. He has overseen multimillion-dollar technology budgets and delivered more than 150 enterprise applications and digital platforms supporting millions of users. Additionally, Kenney has served in fractional CTO, CAIO, and Director of Technology roles, advising multinational organizations on complex technology transformation and AI initiatives.

Prior to Digital 520, Kenney founded and led a technology and marketing company that was subsequently acquired. The firm provided IT infrastructure and managed marketing campaigns for multifamily and commercial real estate clients that collectively raised more than $1.8 billion.

In 2026, Kenney was named one of the world’s top 10 AI governance experts and was selected for the European Data Protection Board’s Support Pool of Experts in new technologies and information security. He is the author of Governing Intelligence: Law, Privacy, Security, and Compliance in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (2026), a comprehensive AI governance textbook with over 300,000 readers; host of Building the Future with AI, recognized by Feedspot as a top-100 AI podcast; and President of the Ethical Tech Forum, a global think tank advancing responsible technology.

He has also drafted interventions for United Nations AI initiatives, designed the nation’s first AI Privacy Engineering course at Georgia Tech, and presented for organizations and forums including the United Nations, World Summit on the Information Society, George Washington University, Georgia Tech, Enterprise AI Security and Governance Summit, and other top venues. He speaks publicly to more than 50,000 people each year and is regularly cited as a subject matter expert by Business Insider, U.S. News & World Report, Computerworld, CIO, CSO Online, Forbes Advisor, The Register, TechTarget, NBC News, GB News, and numerous other media outlets.

At the Georgia Institute of Technology, he served as an AI Privacy Engineer on a $90 million National Science Foundation initiative. His experience includes serving as Chief Scientist at the Disruptive AI Lab, where he developed an AI system capable of detecting pneumonia from chest X-rays in approximately one second with greater than 95% accuracy. He subsequently received a commercialization grant for the work. Kenney is a published researcher and has served on the program committees of the AAAI/ACM Conference on AI, Ethics, and Society, as well as the Colloquium for Information Systems Security Education. Additionally, he sits on Brandeis University’s Applied Data Science Advisory Council, serves as AI Governance Lead for the SAFE AI Foundation, and sits on the board at multiple organizations.

He holds a B.S. in Economics from Georgia Tech, an M.Eng. in Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, and IAPP CIPM and AIGP certifications. He is also a master’s degree candidate in Systems Engineering at Harvard University, where his studies include a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity. Additionally, he is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Swansea University, where his research focuses on AI and cybersecurity under the supervision of Dr. Bertie Müller and Professor Markus Roggenbach.
